Festival Details
Our History
The North Carolina Film Festival started in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1974. From its beginning until 1997, the festival ran under different names and managing hands. In 2010, Eno River Media revived the efforts of the original North Carolina Film Festival with The North Carolina Film Awards. This was an online international film festival, which has grown into today’s North Carolina Film Festival.
